SADALI, a tour under SARDINIA where rivers, springs and waterfalls give rise to the “Water Paradise”.
Water, a precious resource, which distributed through an old but useful irrigation system known by immemorial times, makes the vegetable gardens extremely fertile and productive, that yield excellent potatoes used for the realization of the typical bread and cheese along with fresh, of “culurgionis”, typical dish of Sadali. Generosity and hospitality still have a place in society where pastoralist remain alive certain traditions and certain values.

The tour is divided into two days which provide, in the first, a visit to dairies and laboratories of bread and pasta typical of Barbagia (inner places of Sardinia), such as the famous ” culurgionis ” (a kind of ravioli with a heart of potatoes, mint, garlic and fresh pecorino cheese). On the second day we will do a dip in neighboring “Sarcidano” to visit the typical house of Campidano with outbuildings experimental laboratories. Waterfalls, springs, ancient watermills and enchanted forests will frame your stay.

Day 1: The historic town of Cagliari and the sparkling waters of Poetto Beach. Arrive in Cagliari, meet your chauffer/guide, and enjoy immediate sightseeing on your way to the elegant hotel for a scrumptious lunch. Visit the historic center in the afternoon followed by candlelight dinner and overnight stay in lavish hotel.
Day 2: Cagliari – Iglesias – Carbonia (1h 30m driving, 75km) – Explore the rich mining history of Sulcis-Iglesiente. Hearty breakfast before departing for Iglesias–a medieval town featuring the Church of San Francesco, the Santa Chiara Cathedral, and historic Museum of Mining Art. Enjoy breathtaking scenery at every turn before dining at a Sardinian style restaurant for lunch. After lunch, depart for Carbonia to visit the Sebariu Coal Mine Museum. Guests will also enjoy the Phoenician Museum at Sant’Antioco, along with the Museum of Bisso and Christian catacombs. Mouthwatering dinner and overnight stay in first class Carbonia hotel.
Day 3: Carbonia – Cabras – Tharros – Orgosolo (3h, 225km) – Continental breakfast hotel before departing for Tharros—an ancient Phoenician city. Lunch at exquisite restaurant, then departure for Orgosolo and walking tour. The scenic tour is a must for sightseeing enthusiasts and aficionados. Tantalizing dinner and overnight stay in Orgosolo hotel.
Day 4: Orgosolo – Cala Gonone – Orgosolo (1h, 45km) – Depart for Cala Gonone after breakfast. Enjoy the white sands and crystal waters on your beach tour. Boat trips (not included in package) are available for those that want to see the spectacular and unique coves on the Gulf of Orosei. Late afternoon return to the hotel in Orgosolo—dinner, entertainment, and overnight stay.
Day 5: Orgosolo – Alghero (1 h, 175km) – Hotel breakfast and departure for Alghero. Points of interest along route: Santissima Trinit di Saccargia, which features unique Romanesque style architecture. You will also enjoy an extensive tour of Alghero—a catal town blanketed by local shops and venues. This is the perfect time for souvenir shopping before heading dinner and overnight stay in either Sassari or Alghero.
Day 6: Alghero/Cagliari (2 ½ h, 230km) – Breakfast at hotel and departure for Cagliari airport.
