Emilia Delizia is a food tour company based in Bologna, operating in Emilia-Romagna since 2008. We run small-group and private experiences that take guests directly to the producers behind three of Italy’s most celebrated DOP products — Parmigiano Reggiano, traditional balsamic vinegar, and Prosciutto di Parma — as well as food walks, pasta-making classes, and truffle experiences across the region. All tours are led by licensed, English-speaking local guides with long-standing relationships with the producers we visit.
Groups are kept small — a maximum of eight people — so that producers have time to talk properly, guides can answer questions, and the experience does not feel organised for volume. We have been running these visits for over fifteen years. The producers we work with are not facilities that open their doors to any group that calls; they are families and small operations we have worked with since the beginning. Our family did a walking tour in Modena with Kayleigh. She was friendly, very knowledgeable, and great to converse with. The food was outstanding and unique, and we learned so much. LOTS of food! This was one of our best experiences in Italy.
