Bologna Foodie’s Trail

From the coming 2015 season Emilia Delizia is launching a new food food tour that it is all done within Bologna on foot without the need to use a car. After meeting your guide at a central location you will well taken around and visit the most famous buildings and places  in the city that will include Piazza Maggiore, the University anatomical theater  and the Basilica.

It is a food walking tour!

After a brief introduction about the history of Bologna you will be visiting some of the world’s most famous gourmet food shops and this might include Majani chocolatier, the food market district and a final visit to  Paolo Atti. Paolo Atti opened in 1880 it is an historical bread and pasta maker in the heart of Bologna. The owner of this Bolognese institution  himself will take you around and you can see how bread and fresh egg pasta is made. Visitors will have the exclusive possibility to walk into their workshop. This tour includes pasta making demonstration right in front of you.This tour lasts 2.5 hours and it does not require transport if you stay in Bologna.

Add pasta making class and market tour.

For a fuller experience you can combine the foodie’s trail tour with a pasta making class. This is normally arranged in the morning. The guests will meet the chef in central Bologna and go to the local market to purchase the ingredients. Together you will be preparing a 3 course meal that includes pasta Bologna style. Prices of cooking classes are per person.
